Goal setting

Good morning Everyone.     Less than a week until christmas and less than two weeks until we are in 2017.     2016 has flown by and there is not much time left to set goals for 2017.     Over the next two weeks why not take the time to write out three different goals.     A personal goal A professional goal A health and fitness related goal.     As well as writing out the goal why not write out a little plan of how you may achieve these goals.     Another way to plan goals is to create S.M.A.R.T goals.     What are S.M.A.R.T goals?     Specific - this is the what, where, how, when, with who. Example--> I want to run the 20km of lausanne     Measurable- Break down the goal into things you can measure. For example quantity and time can be measured. Example--> I will run 1km 3 times a week for the first month. Or I will bring my 4km run down from 25 minutes to 22 minutes.     Achievable- Have you set a realistic goals for yourself? Example--> You have never run before or exercised much in the last few years. so will running 20km in less than 4 months be a bit too much too soon?     Relevant- Is the goal relevant to you? Example--> Do you even really enjoy running?     Time Based - Set an end date for your goal Example --> Set small mini goals with time frames to achieve them in, in order to achieve your long term goal.     This is just a small example of one way to set and plan out goals. Find which one works for you a make 2017 the year we set goals and accomplish them!     Happy Monday everybody. Have a fabulous day.

Good morning Everyone.

Less than a week until christmas and less than two weeks until we are in 2017.

2016 has flown by and there is not much time left to set goals for 2017.

Over the next two weeks why not take the time to write out three different goals.

A personal goal

A professional goal

A health and fitness related goal.

As well as writing out the goal why not write out a little plan of how you may achieve these goals.

Another way to plan goals is to create S.M.A.R.T goals.

What are S.M.A.R.T goals?

Specific - this is the what, where, how, when, with who.

Example--> I want to run the 20km of lausanne

Measurable- Break down the goal into things you can measure.

Time Based - Set an end date for your goal

Example --> Set small mini goals with time frames to achieve them in, in order to achieve your long term goal.

This is just a small example of one way to set and plan out goals. Find which one works for you a make 2017 the year we set goals and accomplish them!

Happy Monday everybody. Have a fabulous day.
